Honey #4

Honey #4

Do you know that a bee lives less than 40 days, visits at least 1000 flowers and produces less than a teaspoon of honey?  For her, it is a work of a lifetime. We should be thankful to the bees who live only to work and produce.

Now study those workers of the gospel in New Testament time and be ever so thankful for their service. That appreciation should extend to those in our age who burnt out their lives so that we could have the truth.

Colossians 3:23-24

Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ.

2 Timothy 2:15

Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.

Let’s keep at the work God ordained for us because there is not much time left.

Give it some thought.

Honey #3

Honey #3

Do you know that honey contains a substance that helps in brain function? Do you know that honey is one of the few foods on earth that alone can sustain human life? Do you know why God uses honey to relate truth to us?

Proverbs 24:13

My son, eat honey, for it is good, and the drippings of the honeycomb are sweet to your taste.

Matthew 3:4

Now John wore a garment of camel’s hair and a leather belt around his waist, and his food was locusts and wild honey.

Honey got John through his ministry and it will do the same for us.

Give it some thought.

Honey #2

Honey #2

Do you know that one spoonful of honey can keep a person alive for twenty-four hours? There sure is a lot of energy in that substance. That is why the Spirit of God used that substance to relate to us how important the Word of God is.

Psalm 81:16

But He would feed you with the finest of the wheat, and with honey from the rock I would satisfy you.”

Psalm 119:103

How sweet are Your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

My prayer is that you have a permanent supply to get you through this life.

Give it some thought.

Honey #1

Honey #1

The first mention of honey in the Bible is found in Genesis 43:11. Jacob was sending some honey with Judah back to Egypt to make an impression on its leaders. Do you know the Word of God is referred to as honey and can make an impression on people?

Psalm 19:10

More to be desired are they than gold, Yea, than much fine gold; Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.

The Scriptures are more valuable than gold and the taste can be out of this world.

Give it some thought.

Womb

Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.
 – Oscar Wilde

God only made one of you, which is probably a good thing. The likelihood of two people sharing identical fingerprints is estimated to be less than one in 64 billion. Human fingerprints are detailed, unique, difficult to alter, and durable over the lifespan of an individual, making them suitable as long-term markers of human identity.

Do you believe God left us a message in fingerprints?

Psalm 139:13

For You formed my inward parts; You covered me in my mother’s womb.

God made you and knows you, but do you know Him?

The Wayward Wind

“The Wayward Wind” is a song sung by Patsy Cline in 1961. The meaning of the word “wayward” is wanting to have one’s own way regardless of the wishes or good of others; being capricious, erratic, or unpredictable.

In the Bible, many characters that we read about become resistant to guidance, disobedient to God’s Word, perverse and willful in their ungodly conduct.

In Scripture, the Old Testament priest would understand the waywardness of others because of his own short comings, as this verse points out.

Hebrews 5:2

He can deal gently with the ignorant and wayward, since He Himself is beset with weakness.

However, we now have a High Priest who is sinless and has become the perfect sacrifice for our wayward patterns.

2 Corinthians 5:21

For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.

Give it some thought.

Goodbye World

These words are found in the lyrics of a song about saying goodbye to a world of hurt. “Goodbye my sweet world of sorrow. My new life begins with death.”

Sad that that is the emotional response of so many leaving Terra Firma. Life can be difficult and, for some, it never slacks off. However, God provides a spiritual cleansing and blessed hope in His Son Jesus Christ. If you have received Him, what a world awaits you.

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

A bright future awaits those who have embraced John 3:16. Give it some thought.
