Fruitcake

The woman said, “It wouldn’t be a holiday without the turkey, a fruitcake and the nuts. But enough about our relatives.”

I thought it was funny. It reminded me of the church on Crete. Look at this and you’ll agree.

Titus 1:10-12,16

For there are many insubordinate, both idle talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole households, teaching things which they ought not, for the sake of dishonest gain. One of them, a prophet of their own, said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”

They profess to know God, but in works they deny Him, being abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work.

Paul told Titus the situation needed fixing. Does your church need fixing? It could start with you.
