His Eye

Did you ever have a teacher or someone in a position of authority that you felt could see right through you? He or she seemed to know exactly what you were thinking.

God desires to direct us with His eye.

You have to get close and pay attention for that to happen.

Psalms 32:8-9

 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will guide you with My eye.
Do not be like the horse or like the mule,
Which have no understanding,
Which must be harnessed with bit and bridle,
Else they will not come near you.

Open your Bible today and look into His eyes for some truly Divine direction.

Give it some thought.

Partner

It’s been almost fifty years now since I acquired a life partner. That has been working out well and we are moving forward.

Also, I need to state another eternal partner entered my life forty-six years ago because of an invitation He presented to me.

Matthew 11:29-30

29 Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.”

He has offered the same to so many over the years, but so few have responded.

Give it some thought.

Mirror

If you look in the mirror, whether you like it or not, that is the way it is. Plastic surgery can help a little, sometimes.

However what is on the inside is a different story. The mirror revealing the true you is seen over a lifetime, and after a lifetime there is no remedy.

Proverbs 27:19

As water reflects the face,
so one’s life reflects the heart

Let’s start working with the help of God to create a better image for the time to come while it is still possible.

Think about it.

Challenges

I was crossing the knife-edge on Mount Katahdin in a thunderstorm.  Visibility was 30 feet and no place to hunker down.  I had to just keep moving and trusting in God whatever happens.

Joshua gave specific instructions to a generation facing tremendous challenges in dangerous situations.

Joshua 1:7

“Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.

This generation of Israelites did exactly that and discovered success.

So can you.

Give it some thought.

Secret

Can you remember being in 4th grade and someone told you a secret known by a few?  You felt blessed to be the recipient of some little known information. You thought yourself to be special.

Jesus said exactly that message to his disciples.

Matthew 11:25

At that time Jesus answered and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes.

If you are a believer, you have been given information refused by the world.

Think about it.

Helper

One of my passwords is the name of a teacher that saw something in me that others didn’t see. I thank God for that educator because she was sent to me at the right time in my life.

God has provided each believer with the promise of one who offers divine instruction.

John 14:26

But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

Don’t give Him a hard time because He has only your interests in mind.

Give it some thought.

Saved

Considering religion and religious figures throughout history, there is just something remarkably different about Jesus. They just don’t get it.

Matthew 27:42

“He saved others; Himself He cannot save. If He is the King of Israel, let Him now come down from the cross, and we will believe Him.

The time will come when He will take His rightful place as the King of Israel. However, in the present dispensation, He is truly saving others as the accusers stated.

Has He saved you yet?

Give it some thought.
