Debonair

The English translated the phrase from the New Testament Koine Greek as “blessed be the meek.” Leave it to the French to translate it more accurately, “blessed be the debonair.”  That word means confident, stylish, and charming. I like that. Give it some thought and thank the French for widening our understanding.

Psalm 27:3

Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.

Philippians 1:6

And I am confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
