She talked about her youth and how the home held love, security and family that loved one another and their parents. This was not the case of a friend she was visiting. The girl admired the atmosphere that was so commonplace to her but lacking under her own family’s roof.
This reminded me of what the church should have to offer but sadly is not always the case.
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which He obtained with His own blood.
The family of God sure is something when unity is given priority. Give it some thought and invite a friend over.
