“A man is not old until regrets take the place of dreams.”
― John Barrymore
Barrymore reached the age when he realized the mistakes of the past were a drag on hopes for the future. We can’t go back there, but proper planning and good relationships can make life worth living, especially when it includes a relationship with God.
The old age he spoke of is a curse for some in their final inning. Don’t be one of them. Youth will never escape you as long as you see a future.
But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Jeremiah 29:11
I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.
Give it some consideration.
