Memories are swirling around in my brain like the waters below Niagara Falls. Those scattered, but sometimes connected, displays reappearing in my hard drive are sometimes a blessing and sometimes a curse. I can’t seem to find the button to delete the ones that hurt. Life is like that.
However, I look forward to the day when memories can be relegated to their proper place.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Philippians 3:13-14
Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
Give it some thought, and forget as much of the hurtful past as you can until a new day in glory dawns.
