There certainly is something wrong with us. The only reasonable explanation is what took place in the garden some six thousand years ago. The Bible is a record of man’s failure. Surely while reading the news and studying history, you just can’t get away from that fact.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Thankfully, there is a way to parachute out of this mess.
John 3:16
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
