As a paramedic, I was getting ready to transfer a critical care patient to another facility. While loading the elderly gentleman, I noticed the young woman standing nearby. Before I could say, “Do you want to kiss your dad goodbye?” she bent over and locked lips with him for an uncomfortable period of time. I said to myself, “Gardner, you just missed making an absolute fool of yourself.” That was close, for she was his wife.
Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;
Even a fool who keeps silent is considered wise; when he closes his lips, he is deemed intelligent.
Careful out there. It might not be what it seems.
Give it some thought.
