War

“One Tin Soldier” is an anti-war song written by Dennis Lambert and Brian Potter in 1969 as part of the protest against the Vietnam War. It was later featured in the movie Billy Jack in 1971. The song highlights the destructive nature of unchecked aggression and the irony of fighting for something that ultimately offers no true reward.

Man is at war with God and doesn’t realize the consequences. When he does, it will be too late and the damage will be done. This song illustrates a truth we find in scripture.

Romans 8:7

For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will.

Romans 5:1

Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

Don’t be fighting against God. You can’t win. Give it some thought.
