Hope

The doctor’s advice can sometimes seem to lack any hope for your future. One doctor asked his patient, “Did you think you were going to live forever?”  He did not display a good bedside manner, although he was being realistic.

Living in the Roman Empire at the time of the apostles was no picnic. However, Paul promised the Gentile believers that there is always hope because our God is the God of hope.

Romans 15:13

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

How do we tap into that hope? We do that by daily consuming copious amounts of the Word of God. Consuming information from the newspapers and on national televised newscasts will not give you hope. Hiding in some time-consuming hobby or habit will not give you hope. Hope only comes from one resource.

Think about it.
