Some religions teach that water can wash away sin. Why would the Son of God have to live on this planet, suffer rejection and death if water could do the job? No, water has absolutely no saving power, but the cross does.
For the word of the cross is folly to those who are perishing, but to us who are saved it is the power of God.
Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
Trust in the blood, not the water. Give it some thought.
